What do non cyclists' guests do at Garda Bike Hotel?
A Non-Cyclist's Perspective at the Garda Bike Hotel
When my friends invited me to stay at Garda Bike Hotel, I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm not a cyclist, so I wondered if I'd enjoy a vacation centered around riding.
As it turns out, I had nothing to worry about.
While my friends spent their days exploring the incredible cycling routes around Lake Garda, I discovered that Garda Bike Hotel is the perfect starting point for experiencing everything Northern Italy has to offer. From charming lakeside towns to historic cities, incredible food, and unforgettable scenery, every day became a new adventure.
What to Do Around Lake Garda
One of my favorite parts of the trip was exploring the beautiful towns that surround Lake Garda.
I spent a day wandering through Lazise and Bardolino, strolling along the waterfront, browsing local shops, and enjoying lunch with a glass of regional wine. The ferry made it easy to visit multiple towns in a single day while taking in stunning views of the lake.
Another memorable day was spent in Peschiera del Garda. Garda Bike Hotel even help with the boat passes, making it easy to visit this UNESCO World Heritage Site. I enjoyed exploring its canals, bridges, and historic streets before ending the day with dinner in the nearby medieval village of Borghetto.
For a slower pace, I visited Sirmione. Known for its thermal springs and rich Roman history, it was the perfect place to relax while my friends were out enjoying the famous cycling routes.
Unmissable Day Trips from the Hotel
One thing that surprised me most was how easy it was to explore Northern Italy from Garda Bike Hotel.
Verona is only about 20 minutes away by train, making it an ideal day trip to experience the city's history, beautiful piazzas, and the famous Arena.
I also spent a day exploring the canals and hidden streets of Venice, one of Italy's most iconic destinations.
For those who enjoy shopping, architecture, and vibrant city life, Milan is another excellent option, just a couple of hours away by train.
Wine & Culinary Experiences
Of course, no trip to Northern Italy would be complete without enjoying the local food and wine.
The region offers wonderful vineyard tours and wine tastings, giving visitors the chance to experience some of Italy's finest wines.
I also visited Modena to tour the Monari Federzoni balsamic vinegar factory before stopping at the Ferrari Museum, which was fascinating even for someone who isn't a car enthusiast.
Why Garda Bike Hotel?
Before this trip, I thought Garda Bike Hotel was only for cyclists.
Now I know it's so much more than that.
Its location makes it the perfect base for exploring Lake Garda and Northern Italy, whether you're riding legendary cycling routes or discovering historic towns, local wineries, and world-famous cities.
At the end of each day, my friends returned from incredible rides while I came back from adventures of my own. We all had different experiences, but we shared the same unforgettable vacation.
If you're traveling with cyclists but don't ride yourself, don't hesitate.
Garda Bike Hotel offers an unforgettable Italian experience for everyone.
