Chattanooga, TN (March 21, 2018)Litespeed road, mountain and gravel bikes manufactured by Tennessee-based American Bicycle Group (ABG) has partnered with the Gran Fondo National Series (GFNS) as the official bike sponsor of the series’ seven core events: Gran Fondo Florida, Tour of Georgia Gran Fondo, Highlands Gran Fondo (NJ), Gran Fondo Asheville (NC), Boone Gran Fondo (NC), Golden Gran Fondo (CO) and Gran Fondo Maryland/National Championship.

As part of the long-term partnership, participants will have the opportunity to enter a raffle to win a T5 frameset at the Florida, Georgia, Boone and the Maryland/National Championship events or a Litespeed titanium seatpost at the Highlands, Asheville and Golden events. Litespeed also will be showcasing their product line and will have demo bikes at the Tour of Georgia, Asheville and Boone Gran Fondos.

“We are very excited about partnering with a growing cycling series like the GFNS,” said Peter Hurley, president and CEO of ABG. “With the Series focusing on both competitive and recreational experiences, we can showcase the Litespeed T5 capabilities and engage with a wide range of riders. And, as an additional bonus, our own employees will be able to join some of the rides.”

The Litespeed T5 frame uses cold-worked 3Al/2.5V titanium tubing and is handmade in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where Litespeed builds all their titanium frames. The Litespeed titanium seatpost is available in straight or set back versions and is handmade in the same ABG facility that makes the frame.

About the Gran Fondo National Series

The Gran Fondo National Series is 12 events (seven core and five partner) with courses that lead riders through country roads with challenging climbs and incredible scenery. Courses are offered in lengths of ~30, ~60, and ~100 miles so participants can take part in a distance that matches their goals and ability.  Each rider is assigned an electronic timing-chip to keep track of their progress throughout the course and to allow riders to compete for best time through highlighted sections of the course. There is no start to finish time as in traditional racing formats, but rather only time sections count toward a rider's competition time. Whether riding for a cause, a personal goal, or for competition, the Gran Fondo National Series courses are some of the most beautiful courses in the North America. https://www.granfondonationalseries.com/
